About April Hilton

As a child I recognized my love of glass with my first marble set. Beginning my hands
on experience with stained glass in 1977.

Quickly setting up a flat glass studio in the basement of my parent's lodge where I made
custom windows with visions to go 3 dimensional.

I studied at San Fransisco Art Institute 1982-1984.

I returned to Colorado and worked with glass part-time until I was able to discover my passion
with Off Hand Glass Blowing in 1995, studying under Ed Broadfield, then as an apprentice to
Barbara Saull in Denver for several years thereafter.

My dream and vision came without a second thought within the first hour of class .
In January 2008 a major step beyond my dreams occurred with the purchase of the
Circle H Retreat & Glass Art Center.

I am fortunate to live in the heart of the Colorado Rockies and the shoreline of Lake Granby;
I am surrounded by beauty that lends me inspiration for color and design. The palate I see
everyday, all day, no matter the weather proves; I can mix and blend any color as displayed
and un-challenged in nature.

I seek collaboration of mixed media and fellow artists to create new dimensions, textures and
twists for beautiful pieces of art.

The Circle H evolved naturally with an incredible energy beyond the vision of my
glass studio. The Circle H has 6 hotel rooms, lounge with lakeside deck, full kitchen that was
a turn key facility to offer a special and unique idea. But in these times the art center could not
withstand the economic downturn to get on its feet. Time was the key that never could turn.
My continued passion and growth in glass with endure and prosper, I cannot go without.

If you possess one of my art glass objects, I hope you continue to feel the energy, expression
and creativity of the color shape and movement that I felt when creating it. It came from love.
