There is so many classic shapes, to me it 's all about the color. Colors are my favorite part of glass blowing, Most times I have a shape in mind before I start a blowing session. I have learned that glass tells me what it wants to be, once I start adding color, and after the initial bubble it may become something totally different. I can't help being moved by the transforming shape and colors,. I may go back to the original plan my next go around.
I blend glass colors to complete a series of vessels. If I am ever inspired to replicate a color combination, I may come close, but it will always be a little different. When I am drawn back to a color combination I find myself with a different frame of mind, emotion and creative state. That is what makes each piece special.
For custom orders you can select color and a general shape. that's it... the rest is up to the glass and me. With custom orders I typically end up with several vessels tor you to choose from, many clients will select the complete series.
