As a passionate glass artist throughout my life I always wanted to find a place that would give me the opportunity to practice my medium.  A place where I could go and play with others, share ideas, learn, practice my technique.  Not necessarily in a structured class setting, but more like my local studio where I can rent bench time and do my thing in a safe and creative environment. I planned vacations around glass blowing, lampworking, anything associated with glass.  Go places where my spouse  can enjoy and do fun things during the day while I play with glass.  I have enjoyed almost 4 years of sharing a space with others just as I described.  I am seeking a new location to setup studio, and sorry to say, you will have to find a new glass art center to vacation.  I will always have my door open to visitors, so look me up if you travel into the northern mountains of Colorado.
The Circle H  opened January 2008.  Looking to build a studio to fulfill my dream and passion with glassblowing, to find a niche and make a living as an artist, this place drew people in. Not for the glass studio, but for it's incredible views and energy the facility exudes. With 6 hotel rooms, all with a view of Lake Granby and the Continental Divide, which all areas of lodge share, plus a lounge with lakeside deck, people get a special feeling when they walk in the door.
We have hosted several gigs with local musicians, recognized blues musicians, professional comedians. We have had weddings, birthdays, and just about any excuse to host a party event.  All incredible, but glass was the focus... I have enjoyed my studio and sharing my dream for the glass art center with everyone I encountered, but sorry the announce that we were unable to launch the final stage of offering classes.  I will be re-locating my studio to pursue my personal passion as a glass artist somewhere new.  I will keep you up to date on my new location and development.
